How many vinyls are sold?

Sells of music in physical format had a huge decline when the internet came out. Everybody was streaming music and they still are until this day. But, last year, 2016 more than 3 million of vinyl was sold, and that is only vinyl, that’s not counting CDs and cassettes. Cool right? That’s why every day new factories are opening their doors. And not just big companies such as Sony and Universal, small independent companies are opening their doors again in some Asian countries and Jamaica after being abandoned after more than 10 years. That is for me, very good news for music. And for you?

Juan Carlos Vilella, the director of this event share something with us

A cool fact is that half of all record clients are under 35. Juan Carlos Vilella, who is the director of this event shared his opinion with us of this fact. He says that even though you can surf online and listen to any song ever released, there is still part of music consumers that prefer having their own collection. He thinks that the feeling of appreciating the artwork of a record and the willing of going to your local store for buying a record is inherited from our parents and grandparents. There are still people out there that prefer to have a musical experience than just listening music.

Why come to the Barcelona Record Fair?

In this fair vinyl is not the only gest of honor. You can find also live music, CDs, Blu Ray, paintings, products for cleaning your vinyl, local food, and one of the seller’s favorites, beer

I share in my video below also what record I bought, so be sure to watch it. I got 4 cool records for just 13 euros  (around 15 American dollars or 11 British pounds ). You have here one other reason for going to a fair: cool bargains. And to conclude, one of the things I like to most is that in fairs you can interact and meet people with your same interest… music
